Finnish mythos speaks of Hiisi, the devilish god of the forest, in the ancient tradition of telling stories of dark things lurking in the woods. They are stories that are fascinating to a young child, until she finds herself there alone with only her storybook to guide her. As this girl, lost and afraid, wander through the snow-covered forests of Hiisi, while keeping your torch alive, and the darkness at bay. Look for answers hidden in the pages of the old tales and the strange stones in the woods. As you come face to face with sites and creatures like those of legend, perhaps you will learn more about them than the stories have remembered to tell. Visit waypoints in the forest to update your storybook with your observations, and come to understand the true history of the places you find yourself in, the forgotten origins of Hiisi’s places.
